CMPX is a compression/decompression software based on cellular automatacomputing. Compression ratios as high as 10,:1 are achievable forcertain kinds of data (e.g. images). The product can also handle othertypes of data including audio and text. Losslessness is achieved at theexpense of decompression time and a reduced compression ratio. TheBoolean nature of the basic computing engine results in an extremely fastprocess compared to existing technologies.
